The Wend

Field-tested insight from Wendworks on leadership and the practical work of building organizations that function.

Delivered when there's something worth sharing — typically a couple of times a month — and never more than once a week.

What you'll get

Every issue draws from live work — the conversations, decisions, and recoveries happening inside the organizations Wendworks is currently advising.

Most issues are short essays. Some are diagnostic tools, frameworks, or prompts to clarify thinking or improve your leadership straight from the Wendworks OD Lab. A few may even be short interviews with leaders working through the kind of transition you might be in yourself.

What you won't get: endless promotional pitches, recycled LinkedIn posts, or anything that we haven't  actually used to help our clients.

Who you'll hear from

Most issues of The Wend are written by Dr. David Macauley, founder of Wendworks. Dave works with founders and senior leaders as a Coach, Consultant, and fractional leader including COO, CFO, CHRO, Chief Strategy Officer, or CMO — whichever the moment calls for. He teaches in the HRD program at Northeastern Illinois University, serves as a contract instructor at Indiana Wesleyan University's Ron Blue Institute, and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Tyler. The Wend is where the thinking from those rooms lands first.

A few times a year, The Wend also carries pieces from guest authors and other members of the Wendworks team — practitioners working on the same kinds of organizational problems from angles the firm's primary lens couldn't reach on its own. Guest authors are clearly labeled.
